2026-09-22 12:30:00Z	Sep. 22, 2026	Jeremy Walsh	The state of media in the modern age big-picture, and the local news landscape in the Tri-Valley	Sep. 22, 2026 12:30 p.m.		Jeremy Walsh is the associate publisher and editorial director of Embarcadero Media Foundation's East Bay Division, including the Pleasanton Weekly, LivermoreVine.com and DanvilleSanRamon.com. He joined Embarcadero Media in late 2013, two days after returning from his honeymoon. After serving as East Bay associate editor, he was promoted to editor in early 2017, editorial director in mid 2023 and associate publisher/editorial director in July 2025. With primary duties focused on leading the editorial department including overseeing the Pleasanton Weekly print edition as well as community awareness and fundraising campaigns and interdepartmental initiatives, Jeremy fills in on a variety of news coverage and online editing as needed. Jeremy also pens a weekly column, What a Week, which debuted in 2021; serves on the Editorial Board, including writing editorial comments; and is part of the division's award-winning candidate forum moderator team. Born in Vallejo and raised in Benicia, Jeremy studied journalism at American University in Washington, D.C. (Class of 2010) and worked his first job out of college as a general assignment reporter for the Lake County Record-Bee in Lakeport for 2-1/2 years. He is a big Golden State Warriors fan, enjoys movies and is an avid golfer. Jeremy lives in Pleasant Hill with his wife and son.	View

Born and raised in Oakland, Jo and her husband moved to Pleasanton in the mid-1960s, where they raised their family. In retirement, with encouragement from her daughter, she launched the organization in 2004, and in the years since, she and her team of volunteers have grown it from a local effort into one known throughout the Bay Area, providing blankets to organizations across California. Jo will share her story and talk about how our club can support her mission. Please join me in giving her a warm Dublin Rotary welcome.	View
