CSBSMA (California School Board Student Board Member Association)

Michaela was a Senior at Albany High School this past year, and during her time there she served as the Student School Board Member on her district School Board for two years. She also participated in Youth and Government for four years, co-founded Speak,  a social justice education organization that facilitates peer to peer learning, and worked with Evolve and The California Association Of Student Councils to educate student board members around California. In her gap year she plans on working with kids, campaigning for Democrats for the 2020 election, connecting low-income families with low-cost tutors, and hopefully traveling.
